National Stories from a Federal Partner - Podcast Episode 2

Lynn Johnson, Former Assistant Secretary of the Administration for Children & Families
During her time as the Assistant Secretary for the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Lynn served in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), developing life-changing initiatives like the “All In” challenge. The initiative, which focused on gubernatorial intervention regarding the 122,000 unadopted children in the foster care system, resulted in both fewer children entering the system and fewer waiting to be adopted.
As a national leader in the human services space, former Assistant Secretary Johnson has not only personally led innovative efforts working towards a better community for children in foster care, but has been a witness to incredible efforts across the country to build stronger more resilient families. She is deeply committed to building spaces for people with lived experience to speak into the work of child welfare organizations. On the Thousand Stories Podcast, she shared her admiration for a number of wonderful efforts aimed at addressing family instability.
